Battle Beetle V.1 Toy Design

So I was able to secure battlebeetle.com. That was the original name of the spybeetle. Looks like the previous owner didn't want to spend the moolah on it. I checked to see if it was available and viola... I own battlebeetle.com.

I was now thinking of reviving BattleBeetle... but not as a short or game... yet, but as a toy. I found a site call PatchTogether that lets the community vote to see what toy gets built. So I need your vote now! You will have to sign up to vote, but you could now own your very own BATTLEBEETLE!

I have been working with of Pnoy Apparel for several years now. I did an animation for them for their Shirt the Kids campaign. Looks like Balitang America have noticed the campaign to cloth children back in the Philippines. Check out my characters over the shoulder.

Belated Congrats to Nonito Donaire

Congrats to Nonito Donaire for another victory. The Filipino Flash defeated Rafael Concepcion by unanimous decision to win the junior bantamweight title in Las Vegas on August 16.

Congrats to Nonito Donaire who won his latest fight against Raul Martinez at the Araneta Coliseum in Manila on Sunday April 19th. It was a nice birthday present. Some of Team Donaire were sporting the new logo that I designed for the 'Filipino Flash'.

New Book Covers

So after creating the BARRIORS: The First Year Book I got inspired to create another book. This time I wanted to create a book for my son. "Sampung Mga Daliri" is a little song that my parents would sing to him, so I wanted to create a book that he could also look at. These are two versions of the book cover design. The Spanish galleon, Nuestra Senora de Buena Esperanza, captained by Pedro de Unamuno, anchored off the coast of present day Morro Bay, California, on Sunday, October 18, 1587. Filipinos (Luzones Indios) were among the crewmembers. Several Filipinos were sent to scout the shore. On October 20, during a skirmish with local Indians, one Filipino was killed. The galleon departed on October 22. ------From Capt. Unanumo's handwritten journal, chronicled by Henry R. Wagner in "Spanish Voyages to the Northwest Coast of America in the Sixteenth Century," published in 1929 by the California Historical Society in San Francisco.

Penny Hollow

It has been a while since I worked on this, but I figured it deserved some time on the blog. I worked closely with Bully! Entertainment in Baltimore to create this kids site. I did the character design as well as the website design. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to animate my characters... this was right before my Philippines trip! I am still pleased with how it came out.
